M. Ryan Manchee

Ryan Manchee is an emerging leader of the renewable energy industry and a practitioner of sustainable local economic development. Initially working in renewable energy policy development, Ryan has successfully contributed to the development of policy mechanisms that support economically responsible implementation of new electrical generation, conservation and storage technologies. His roles in business development and communications have allowed him to work with some of Ontario's most substantial and innovative models of integrated community energy systems.

Analysis of financial mechanisms across multiple jurisdictions has provided Ryan with an understanding of regulated and deregulated energy markets and incentive programs, both nationally and internationally. His passion for policy development in the not-for profit and Community Power sectors has compelled Ryan to work more closely with Municipal level governments to create more efficient and energy positive operations and processes.

Ryan's business acumen has provided him with the foundation needed to successfully build an advanced and professional interpersonal communications platform. His ability to create meaningful long term relationships has helped him to build an extensive professional network containing the technical and legal expertise spanning all energy types. Secondary to his capability to seek out, dissect and assimilate large volumes of data, is his capability to articulate and disseminate data into meaningful and contextual information on the specific issue to be addressed by senior decision makers.

He seeks to continuously update his training and education. Having successfully completed an advanced Business Administration diploma with Algonquin College, Ryan is now working on the completion of a Bachelors of Commerce in Business Law from Ryerson University. Ryan is also an accredited solutions architect with SAP Canada in design, development and implementation of SAP ERP systems.

Ryan is an engaged community mobilizer and a peer mentor. He continuously provides volunteer hours to local events and encourages youth to become more civically and community oriented.
